One of the biggest DEX Uniswap releases a BIG UPDATE!
Introduction of hooks — plugins that allow you to create custom pools. Hooks add completely new features to pools, such as dynamic adjustment of commissions or creation of new order types.
Using a Singleton - a single contract that contains all the pools deployed in V4, which should significantly reduce gas costs for swaps and pool deployment.
V4 will also be managed by Uniswap DAO and will include protocol-fee switch, which can be activated by $UNI holders for each pool.
Uniswap V4 will have big implications for DeFi as a whole! Increased functionality, gas and capital efficiency should help Uniswap remain a leading DEX.
